Out & About with Linda

Last week I revisited Ideal Tile and Kitchen located on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.

I left after my first visit overwhelmed with the product and the beautiful showroom. This time I needed to see if, in fact, I was over reacting, and maybe not seeing what is really there. It happens some time, no?

Well, I was not over reacting, nor was I imagining. Ideal Tile and Kitchen is indeed a one shop stop of everything beautiful for your floors, kitchens, and bathrooms. And its showroom would make the perfect venue for a very chic cocktail party….

My guide this time was Mo Ibrahim, the charming brother of Abe Ibrahim, one of the owners. Knowledgeable about what I was seeing, Mo escorted me through the galleries of displays highlighting how Ideal Tile could help make an imagined design a reality. I’ll be honest, I was really feeling the “possible reality.”

Enter their doors and you’ll walk through an expanse of floor and wall coverings. This includes wood, granite, porcelain, marble. Put these materials on your walls, backsplash, shower walls, and more, and you’ll dress up the smallest of spaces regardless your home. Much of what’s on display is imported from Italy, Spain and Greece…. yes, you sense there’s a European touch to what’s in the showroom.

Move a bit further and you enter the kitchen gallery filled with sample cabinets…. all wood, no fiberwood in the lot. Pick out your style and select from a wide array of vessels. Again, it won’t take much to breathe fresh air and style into your outdated kitchen or tired bathroom. And if you’re like me, you can find something “gold”, a really neat cylinder-like sink for your bathroom. It’s the perfect accessory for my “golden girl” granddaughter, Goldie!!!

I fell in love with the many sink configurations available for bathroom vanities. The folks at Ideal Tile can help you fit the just-right sink on the just-right vanity… big or small, they have a perfect piece for your bathroom. And they can be customized to your measurements, making your bathroom as unique as you are!

Mo pointed out a wave toilet that’s becoming increasingly popular; part toilet, part bidet. It does everything but bring you breakfast in the morning! You won’t get caught up in the supply chain because there’s no need to purchase toilet paper. Maybe you’ve heard about these toilets, or even have one. And they may be today’s answer to meeting our bathroom needs, but they’re still a little too futuristic for me!!! I’m too old fashion when it comes to my toilette needs!!!!

However, I’m not too old fashion for the LED medicine cabinets and mirrors. I like light. Usually, I want more light rather than less and Mo showed me a display of mirrors and cabinets that light up at the touch of an almost invisible switch. Some of these lights have charging capabilities, timer accessories and temperature regulators… they’re not your mother’s mirror anymore!

Ideal Tile and Kitchen is really a one stop shop for all things floor, kitchen, bathroom and design. They have skilled designers ready to work with you and give you the space you’ve dreamed of. They can help you make that dream a reality. And they can do it affordably. They won’t break the bank.

When you go, check out their supply of drastically reduced warehouse goods: grout, farm sinks, marble sills, vanities, mosaics, porcelain tiles, LVT flooring and more. You’ll never know what you can find hidden away…

Walking through Ideal Tile & Kitchen reminded me how exciting it is to make changes to our homes. I’ve done many construction projects and I could have used a resource like this. It would have been “dreamy” to work with designers for guidance like those at Ideal Tile & Kitchen. So often I was left up to my own devices. There’s no such thing with Ideal Tile!

So, check out this place. Partners Abe Ibrahim, Amin Mustafa and my escort of the day, Mo Ibrahim, will be happy to give you the tour. They’ll be even happier to give you the kitchen or bathroom or floor that you long for. And remember, they’ll come to your house for a free in-home estimate. I don’t think you could ask for anything more. Just remember to tell them you heard about them here between our covers, the best little read in Montgomery and Bucks counties. They’ll thank you and so will I!!
